REFUNDS & RETURNS
Due to the personal nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. However, please contact us if you are not 100% satisfied – we are committed to making it right!
Herpothecary.com accepts orders 24 hours a day, every day of the week. Orders are processed in the order they are received and shipped within 7-10 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays). All orders are shipped from our location in Washington, DC via USPS Priority Mail. Tracking information is provided once your shipping label has been created. Please allow a full 24-48 hours for your tracking information to be updated once notified.
Please note that if a readily available item is ordered with a pre-order item, the entire order will ship 7-10 business days after the pre-order date. In these cases, all products ship together after the pre-order date to save the customer from paying duplicative shipping charges.

Please note that the day an order ships does not count as a day in transit. USPS Priority transit times vary by state but typically deliver within 2-3 business days. During the busy holiday season, USPS may experience delays that we have no control of.
Herpothecary.com offers free USPS Standard shipping when the subtotal in your shopping cart is greater than or equal to $125.00, excluding tax and any other offers or price adjustments.
Please note that during warmer months, products such as whipped body butters may melt in transit. Please considering purchasing ice pack(s) to minimize the chances of melting. By purchasing, you acknowledge the risk of melting and Herpothecary will not refund or replace melted items with or without an ice pack.
This does not take away from the integrity or effectiveness of the product. They can easily be reconstituted by cooling in the fridge or freezer and rewhipping with a hand mixer.
LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES
We are not responsible for packages marked as delivered but not in your possession. If after having checked your local USPS office and the package is still not received, you will need to file a mail theft complaint or claim with the US Postal Inspector and file a police report with your local police department to notify them of the theft. Unfortunately, USPS will not allow you to file a claim as they have fulfilled their duty to deliver the package.
If we decide to resend your lost or stolen package, you are required to cover the shipping costs associated with re-sending the package.
We are not responsible for shipping delays due to holidays, inclement weather, damage, or loss. We do accept requests to combine orders however, additional shipping charges may apply. In addition, combined orders may result in extended processing times.
APO OR FPO ADDRESSES
Because all mail delivered to an APO or FPO address is a joint effort between USPS and the Military Postal Service, please expect delays. Transit times depend on operational conditions as well as the unit of the addressee.
Making sure your order is packaged with care and shipped quickly is always our priority. Additionally, all packages are insured via USPS Priority Mail. While we are not responsible for the handling of your packages by USPS during shipping, we will work with you to remediate the situation should the products therein arrive damaged. We request that you provide a photo of the damaged items within 2 days of receipt and email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If a package is returned to us due to the address being incorrectly entered at checkout, we will contact you for the correct address and additional shipping fees will apply.
